Payment of import taxes is only required when you purchase an item from a store/seller outside of your home country or the seller says so otherwise in the product description. To see the seller of the item see the picture below.

Using the picture below as an example, if you live in Trinidad and Tobago then you wouldn't have to pay any import taxes, if the seller didn't say that anywhere on the page you are reading.
A next example, if you live in Antigua and the seller/store is in the United States, then you would have to pay your government import taxes.
